Det australske Library Labs er en wiki som nasjonalbiblioteket har opprettet for formidling og debatt. Biblioteket ber om kommentarer, sporsmaal og tilbakemeldinger - og tilbyr et rom for diskusjon og samarbeid.

At the National Library of Australia we have started to redevelop our digital library services using a service-oriented architecture and open source software solutions where these are functional and robust.
We are also treating our digital library services as a single business. This means taking a common approach to collection management, discovery and delivery and managing workflows specific to a given context by exception.

The aim of this wiki space, which we are calling Library Labs, is to let our friends and colleagues know what we are doing, to invite comments, questions and feedback and to provide a space for discussion and collaboration.
We are particularly interested in forming a community of Australian business analysts and developers who are working on similar problems and who are interested in interoperable, standards-based solutions that can foster the development of a national information infrastructure. We are also interested in working with colleagues at an international level to provide prototypes and testbeds for new and emerging standards.
We welcome comments on any page of this wiki space. You can do this without registering, but we encourage you to include your name and contact details in your comment.

Oj, oj, oj, jeg prøver å kvi meg fra å kommentere noe rundt dette siden jeg er den personen som har startet og implementert både Wiki’en, Library Labs og hele SOA initiativet og spesielt kanskje fordi jeg ikke lenger jobber ved biblioteket, men jeg tror man skal være litt forsiktige med å spå i denne gruten. Joda, med initiativ og velvilje kommer du deg langt avgårde, men ikke nøvendigvis dit du vil. Hvis andre eksterne enheter innvolverer seg mer og setter “press” på dem har man kanskje mulighet til å lykkes.
Alt sammen er gode ideer, dog, og jeg håper de forsetter ned den veien de har begynt på og ønsker dem lykke til.
