  • Their new web index, which measures traffic to library web sites in a standardized way, is impressive

The statistical work of the Agency is introduced as follows:

The Agency is responsible for the annual gathering, processing and production of statistical data on public and research libraries in Denmark. … Public and research library statistics should provide funding authorities, libraries, the public and other national and international stakeholders a comprehensive overview of the activities and economy of the libraries.  All data are collected in accordance with the international standard in this area, ISO 2789.
